ایک دفعہ ایک شخص اپنا گدھا بیچنے کے لیے گھر سے نکلا -اس نے سہارے کے لیے اپنے بیٹے کو بھی ساتھ لے لیا - دونوں گدھے کو لے کر مارکیٹ کی طرف چلے- 

دونوں باپ بیٹے کچھ ہی دور گئے ہوں گے کہ لوگوں کو دیکھ کر ہنسنے لگے ایک دوسرے سے کہنے لگے دیکھو وہ بیوقوف جا رہے ہیں- ایک گدھا پاس ہے اور دونوں پیدل چل رہے ہیں- پھر بھلا گدھے کا کیا فائدہ - دونوں نے اس طرح لوگوں کو مذاق اڑاتے سنا تو بڑے شرمندہ ہوئے - 

باپ نے بیٹے سے کہا بیٹا تم گدھے پر بیٹھ جاؤ لہذا بیٹا گدھے پر بیٹھ گیا اور باپ گدھے کی رسی پکڑ کر پیدل چلتا رہا-

دونوں کچھ ہی دور گئے ہوں گے کہ پھر لوگ انہیں دیکھ کر اس نے لگے اور ایک دوسرے سے بولنے دیکھو کتنا بیوقوف شخص ہے کہ بیٹے کو اوپر بٹھایا ہوا ہے اور خود پیدل چل رہا ہے اسے یہ بھی نہیں پتا کہ اس طرح بچے بدتمیز بن جائیں گا اس کی عزت نہیں کیا کرے گا ایک دو لوگ پاس آئے اور لڑکے سے کہا تو کتنا بے ادب ہے تجھے دیکھ کر تو یہاں کے بچے بھی بد تمیز ہو جائیں گے - بوڑھا باپ پیدل چل رہا ہے اور تو گدھے پر سواری کر رہا ہے - 

لوگوں کی یہ بات سن کر دونوں کو بڑا افسوس ہوا - باپ نے بیٹے سے کہا بیٹا تم نیچے اتر جاؤ میں بیٹھ جاتا ہوں - لہٰذا آپ بیٹا نیچے اتر گیا اور باپ گدھے پر سوار ہو گیا - دونوں اسی طرح آگے روانہ ہوئے - ابھی تھوڑی دور ہی گئے ہوں گے- کہ  لوگوں نے انہیں پھر ٹوکنا شروع کر دیا - کئی لوگ پاس آ کر جمع ہو گئے اور بولے بابا تم کتنے سخت مزاج ہو کہ خود تو گدھے پر سوار ہو اور چھوٹا بچہ پیدل چل رہا ہے - تم اس پر رحم بھی نہیں آتا -  

دونوں نے لوگوں کی باتیں سنیں اور سوچا کہ چلو دونوں ہی گدھے پر سوار ہو جاتے ہیں - لہذا دونوں سوار ہوگئے - ابھی وہ چلے ہی تھے کہ بہت ساری لوگوں کی بھیڑ ان کے پاس آ کر جمع ہوگی اور غصے کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہنے لگی تم لوگ کتنے ظالم ہو چھوٹے سے جانور پر دونوں سوار ہو - تمہیں جانور کا احساس نہیں - یہ نہ سمجھو کہ وہ کچھ کار نہیں سکتا - ہم موجود ہیں - تم دونوں کو یہ ظلم نہیں کرنے دیں گے - 

لوگوں کی باتیں سن کر دونوں گدھے پر سے اتر گئے اور بولے جب لوگوں کو کوئی طریقہ پسند نہیں تو اب ایک آخری طریقہ کرتے ہیں - وہ ضرور لوگوں کو پسند آ جائے گا - یہ کہہ کر دونوں نے مل کر گدھے کو کندھے پر اٹھایا اور مارکیٹ کی جانب روانہ ہوگئے - 😀😀😀😀
